My Mates Isabella and Harry

It has been a phenomenally busy time for Fotoamour and Bebefoto over the last couple of weeks.

I have photographed several babies including the aforementioned Isabella and Harry as well as Darcy The Dog, Kate and Jon’s wedding and Fotoamour have also been honoured to photograph Hannah and Phillips wedding too.

So just so you can see what I’ve been up to here are some of the pictures from the shoots that Fotoamour/Bebefoto have been doing recently.  Wedding pics to follow in another post.

And here are some of the lovely little Isabella.  A true Daddy’s girl!

How cute are those frilly knickers?!

Affiliate Award BIPP

Well this was the image that scooped the …… runner up Affliliate award for the National Photographic Awards at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire on Saturday night.

The young man in question is Gabriel and he was such a sweetie with a real devilish grin but a lovely nature!  It was shot a few months ago now but still remains one of my favourite photo sessions.

It was a shame not to come away having won the main prize but I’m pretty pleased with runner-up at a BIPP national do.  Thanks to Rachel Madden at the BIPP for her kind words and guidance.

Portfolio pictures

I’m trying to get some work together for the MPA Cherubs scheme  – and to get my licenciate for the MPA, BIPP and SWPPA.  I don’t really think that letters after your name stand for much really – you either like the work or you don’t.

So you make up your mind about these and tell me what you think.  I’d like to have your comments please!

My Friend Sue

Sue and I met when we were about 13 years old at Queen Mary School in Lytham – now long gone, sadly.  We both did  O’level and A’level art together before I dropped out of 6th form and went off to do a Foundation course in Fine Art at Blackpool College.

Sue is just about the most elegant woman I know.  She always looks lovely in a very natural way.  Just recently she agreed to be a guinea pig for me – I usually photograph children and weddings,  So photographing a woman older than about 5 years was going to be quite different.  Here are the results.  Hope you like them.

How to choose a photographer…

The best way is a testamonial so I’m going to copy one in here that I received from Carla and James recently.  I photographed their wedding back in 2008 and one of my favourite shots is the one below.

They’ve just had a little daughter, Betsy, and asked me to take some pictures of her at just 4 weeks old.  She was so cute!  I put together one of our fabulous Bebefoto packs for them and they were really pleased with the pictures.

Anyhow, Carla and James just sent me a little note which read as follows;

“Thank you so much for the truly amazing photos you took of Betsy!  We love them sooo much!  They really bring out her character, even at 4 weeks old!  We were so proud to give our parents such special gifts at Xmas.  We hope to visit you soon to get some prints.  Lots of love and many thanks again,

James, Carla and Betsy xxx”

How lovely is that?

You know where to come, guys, if you want some gorgeous pictures taking of your newborns.  I love little babies – so sleepy and tiny and fragile.  Perfect for photographing.

If you’re checking out a photographer for your wedding or for your portrait shots – just have a look at their testamonials page.  I don’t have a lot on there at the moment – (so completely contradicting myself on that already) but I’m hoping to update the site very shortly with new pictures for the gallery from last year’s weddings and new testamonials.
